- is an enterprise statutory body appointed to the position by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic and he work directly under his supervision

manages directly 5 section directors within the general directorate and 15 directors of forest enterprises and, through them, the entire activities of the state Enterprise

executes enterprise matters independently in accordance with the valid legislative regulations, internal directives and instructions of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic

decides on the principal and key issues, delegates part of his rights to the section directors and directors of forest enterprises

has one statutory representative
